ESPN - NHL “This is the game”
This was my favorite campaign to concept and write for. I was a huge hockey fan and felt hockey never got its due as a sport. these were written for the true fans, not to try to convince or sway new ones. ESPN was an incredible partner in believing in this campaign. And Susan Sarandon as the voice was too good to be true.

This spot was great to shoot as we got the stories of the scars and we got lucky as Sergei Federov's scar was fresh. Yay hockey!
The story behind this spot is that these were the real masks borrowed from the NHL Hall of Fame. A man had to travel with them from Toronto and be with the masks at all times.

Just to get the opportunity to write Wayne Gretzky’s farewell ad was incredible.
